Maxwell Smith
Thank god for the setting sun, or they probably wouldn't have been able to get outside until it was completely dark. And Max didn't know if he would be able to take that. It was starting to get much more hot out, and due to the fact that it didn't get cool until the sun started setting - which was now - Max decided to wait until it got cooler to start traveling. It got up to at least seventy-six that day he heard, and it didn't look like Canon liked the terrible heat too much. But really, who could blame him? He was a grass-type, and they didn't like fire. Then again, he really seemed to enjoy sunbathing outside of the lab while they were waiting. So maybe he had enough energy to get through to at least the next town. And maybe he could lend his trainer some.
Max didn't sleep a wink last night, nor did he get any sleep during his waiting period for the sun to go down; the plane ride to Lerruen was rockity and noisy, and it was too hot, even in an air-conditioned space, to take a nap. Plus the chair he sat in wasn't all too comfortable. Cannon, however, napped fairly well. Or sunbathed really. There wasn't much of a difference on that still, however, and Maxwell chose to ignore that. The Bulbasaur, sadly, decided to skip - if you could call it that - happily along in front of his trainer on the path, stopping every so often to smell some flowers or check out some random plant there was beside the trail. Cannon was really nice, actually; really happy and he seemed to like his trainer right off the bat. Then again that's how most Bulbasaur were, weren't they? They were bred and raised in captivity, from what his father had told him.
"Bulba!"
In all honestly, Max hadn't realized that he was staring at the trees so much; he had gotten used to the winter and all of the deadness in trees so much that he almost forgot what the color green looked like, or even how trees looked like with leaves on them. It looked foreign, really. [Aside from him being in a different region, of course.] He had barely noticed that his Bulbasaur had traveled further up the trail then he was, he was so caught up in the scenery, and the birds flying from tree to tree. However he jumped when he heard Cannon call for him, startled that the Bulbasaur had even said anything to him in the first place; he had barely said anything since he left the lab, really, and thought that the might not just be too used to his trainer yet, no matter how much he seemed to like him.
A few yards up the trail, Cannon stood in front of a bush with green leaves and a few flowers. The flowers were tri-colored; white, purple, and pink on them each. Really Max hadn't seen a flower like that back in Johto, and guessed that they were native in Lerruen. They seemed to be some sort of an Azela or something. Or at least something interesting enough to catch Cannon's attention.
"What's wrong, Cannon?" Max asked when he caught up to the Bulbasaur, squatting down to investigate the shrub and the flowers on it. They seemed prettier up close. "These are nice," Max muttered as he looked around wearily. He almost felt as if he were stealing as he quickly placed his backpack in front of him, and took out journal. Carefully he picked one of the flowers, getting enough root and opening to a random page, carefully placing the flower inside before closing the journal.
"Saur.....," Cannon said slowly and in a low voice as his trainer placed his journal back in his bag and zipped it back up. Max could only chuckle as he hoisted his bag back on his back and stood up quickly, making Cannon jump back a little.
"What?" Max questioned with a weary glance. "I mean, it's not like we're stealing or anything, right?" However, Cannon's facial expression said other-wise. "Oh, just go," Max said hastily, gesturing to the path ahead of them.
With nothing more than a huff, Cannon turned and went on his merry way, although freakishly upset that his trainer had taken the flower. Well then why did he show him the bush anyway? For looks? Besides, if the flower they had produced seeds, they could grow some more them selves - then grass-types were known to help with that, helping plants grow - and plant some more somewhere in the wild and "pay it back" or what ever. Shaking it head and realized that again he was letting his starter getting away from him, Max quickly started walking again to keep up, hoping that it would get more cooler as they went along.

It was a beautiful day with the sun shining brightly and nice warm weather..... or rather extremely hot weather. A perfect day it was for those fire types, but not so much for poor Rattata who had somehow managed to get his small tail stuck underneath a boulder. Of course, this wasn't a very large boulder but it was heavy enough to still cause some discomfort.
Pull as he might his tail just would not come loose from that awful thing. So you all may be wondering how he managed to get his tail stuck this way right? It all happened earlier in the day when it was much cooler and the sun was still low in the sky. He had been sniffing around for quite some time in his search for fresh water and food which would last him till night time.
Of course, little rattata had been sniffing around what he had originally assumed was just a big boulder. Truth of the matter was, it wasn't a boulder but a graveler instead and an angry one at that. Rattata thought that maybe he had unknowingly disturbed the mean rock pokemon's sleep. In the end the graveler had used its roll out attack to chase Rattata all the way over to some large rock formations. Smashing into them caused a small avalanche of rocks, one of which had fallen right onto Rattata's tail.
Using those small claws of his, Rattata began to slowly dig around his tail allowing for enough space to pull it out. Believing he might now have enough room to slide his tail out from under the boulder he began to pull.
Rattata pulled and pulled and pulled until finally his tail gave way and he plummeted backwards in a nearby bush. Thankful that he had finally escaped that place where the boulder had fallen, Rattata snuck out from behind the bush only to see a human and his pokemon further down the pathway.
YOU'VE ENCOUNTERED Male ♂ (OOC: I apologize, this isn't much of a role playing post and I can usually do better in terms of grammar and making the story flow smoothly..... today I just didn't have much muse I guess. x.x)
